Jonathan Ullyot was born in Manitoba. He attended the National Theatre School, University of Toronto, and studied art while getting a PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of Chicago. He teaches courses on literature, philosophy, media studies, and film at the University of Toronto, Seneca Polytechnic, the Graham School at the University of Chicago, and for Beijing Jiaotong University. He is the author of The Medieval Presence in Modernism: the Quest to Fail; Ezra Pound and His Classical Sources; and other works. He’s currently working on a book about James Joyce.
